Thematic issue

Studia linguistica romanica publishes two or three issues per year, which are either regular issues or thematic issues. A thematic issue focuses on a specific research topic. The journal publishes thematic issues derived from conferences, meetings and workshops, but not conference proceedings in the strict sense of the term.

At any time, the journal accepts proposals for thematic issues (with an informal e-mail to the journal containing the topic, the names of the editors, the possible relation to a conference, the relevance for Romance linguistics and for the readership of Studia linguistica romanica, the names of the possible contributors, the provisional titles of the contributions, the names of the possible reviewers and a provisional timetable). Once the proposal has been accepted by the editorial team, the journal defines, together with the issue editors, a timetable and a publication date. Just like the regular articles, the articles of a thematic issue are submitted through the submission system of the journal. The issue editors are invited to propose a list of possible reviewers, but the editorial team decides on the reviewers and on the acceptance of each article.
