Abstract
The aim of this paper is to describe the prosodic contours of open list items followed by specific extension particles (et cetera, tout ça, or et tout) collected from the OFROM database (Corpus oral de français de Suisse romande). In the literature on prosody, various features have been identified concerning list item patterns (tone, parallelism, duration of the accented syllables). This qualitative study intends to observe these aspects by analyzing the intonation and duration features of the final list item syllables. Although the results do not reveal a prototypical list contour, they show certain recurring traits (level pitch, typical lengthening) which can be considered stylization effects pertaining to the speaker's pragmatic strategies.
